University Forum on Interdisciplinary Neuroscience

Location: Rotunda, Low Memorial Library
The University Forum on Interdisciplinary Neuroscience will explore the impact of Columbia's Mind Brain Behavior Initiative on the University's academic programs in the coming years. The forum will feature a panel discussion, moderated by neuroscientist Thomas Jessell, with Nobel Laureates Richard Axel and Eric Kandel. An Arts and Sciences and engineering perspective will be added by Geraldine Downey from the Department of Psychology and Elizabeth Hillman from the Departments of Biomedical Engineering and Radiology. In addition, David Strauss and Trustee Kenneth Forde of Columbia University Medical Center will highlight the importance of the Initiative to clinical care. This discussion will illustrate links between the Initiative and partnerships with various disciplines across campus.
